I-25 South Gap Listening Sessions Hosted by CDOT Begin Tomorrow
Folks who live and work in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas are anxiously awaiting the widening of an 18-mile section of Interstate 25 between Monument and Castle Rock dubbed “The Gap.” Tomorrow marks the first of eight listening sessions hosted by the Colorado Department of Transportation to inform the public about the construction set to take place on the Gap.
Concern over this stretch of highway has grown in recent years as crashes and congestion have become the norm for I-25 commuters, particularly around the Greenland exit. The eight I-25 South Gap listening sessions will take place throughout various locations in Colorado Springs and Monument between the dates of January 30, 2018 and February 15, 2018. Most are scheduled to take place in the evening, so that folks who work during the daytime can attend. Specific times and locations may be found on the CDOT website: https://www.codot.gov/projects/i-25-south-monument-castle-rock-ea/assets/i-25-south-gap-listening-sessions
Completion of this project is many years in our future and we encourage our friends and neighbors who must drive this stretch of highway to allow for extra time and limit distractions while traveling because traffic on the Gap can stop and jam with little warning at any time of day. If you are hurt in a crash while driving the Gap, contact the Colorado Springs Injury Attorneys at Rosenbaum & Wootton, P.C. to schedule your complimentary consultation by calling 719.634.0102 or by clicking on this link to schedule your FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION.
